About PlanoQuita
Is PlanoQuita for me?
It is for people who have debts and want to know where to start, whether it is one overdue bill or several at once. It also works for people who pay on time but feel their month does not add up. It is not for people looking for a new loan: PlanoQuita does not offer credit.
Where can I find the app?
PlanoQuita is an app for iPhone and Android. The download links will appear on this page once publication in the stores is complete. Until then, you can see here how it works and write to oi@planoquita.com.br.
Does the app negotiate my debts or offer loans?
No. PlanoQuita does not offer credit, does not negotiate for you, does not broker agreements and does not receive commissions from creditors. It organizes, explains and follows along. When your situation calls for it, it points out your rights as a consumer, and the decision is yours.
Do I have to pay to use it?
Today, using PlanoQuita costs nothing: there is no charge and no limit on the number of debts. The planned model is a subscription paid by the people who use it, while keeping a way to use it without paying. If a paid plan is launched, you will see the price, what is included and how to cancel before signing up, and you only pay if you choose to. If the terms change, you will be notified in advance. None of our revenue comes from creditors.
Does the app decide for me?
No. It recommends a path and explains why. You choose the strategy and the pace, and change them whenever you want.
Does the app guarantee I will pay off my debts?
No. The app shows a forecast based on what you provide and what you log. The result depends on what happens in your month. When something changes, you see the new forecast and decide whether to update the plan.
Does PlanoQuita replace a lawyer or Procon?
No. The app points out your rights as a consumer when your situation calls for it, but it is not legal advice, does not negotiate for you and does not broker agreements. For guidance, Procon helps at no cost, and the Public Defender鈥檚 Office and university legal clinics assist people who cannot afford a lawyer at no cost.
Will you show me credit ads?
No. There are no ads, sponsored links or credit partnerships in the app. PlanoQuita exists to help you get out of debt.
Getting out of debt day to day
Which debt should I pay first?
The app recommends where to start based on what you tell it about your situation, and explains why. PlanoQuita works with three solid payoff strategies: you see the other options and choose. See how the plan works on the How it works page.
How do I get out of debt on a low income?
The first step is seeing your month clearly: how much comes in, how much goes out and what needs attention now. The app shows this and suggests a plan at the pace your month allows. When the numbers do not add up, it tells you so clearly and points to public options, such as Procon and the Public Defender鈥檚 Office.
How do I organize all my debts in one place?
You record each debt in the app, one at a time, each in its own way: credit card, loan, household bill, rent, debt with a relative. No spreadsheet and no bank connection. The app brings it all together and shows the total and what needs attention now.
How long does it take to get out of debt?
It depends on your situation and on what happens in your month. The app shows a forecast based on what you provide and log. It changes when life changes, and you see the new one before updating the plan. It is an estimate, not a promise.
What if my expenses are already higher than my income?
When the numbers do not add up, the app tells you so clearly, shows what deserves care first and points out your rights as a consumer. One of them comes from Lei 14.181/2021, Brazil鈥檚 over-indebtedness law (Lei do Superendividamento): if you cannot pay your consumer debts without compromising the minimum you need to live on, you can ask for a joint restructuring of them, with your creditors brought together in a plan that preserves that minimum. Home financing, loans secured by collateral, rural credit and debts taken on in bad faith are excluded. The law does not forgive debt or guarantee a discount. Procon offers guidance at no cost, and the Public Defender鈥檚 Office assists people who cannot afford a lawyer.
Can I use the app with overdue bills or my name on a credit bureau list?
Yes. The app asks what is at risk with each debt and takes it into account in the recommendation.
Do I need to know the interest rate on each debt?
No. Interest rates are optional, and "I don鈥檛 know" is a valid answer. When you do not provide one, the app tells you the numbers are an estimate and keeps working.
What if I get some information wrong?
Start with what you have. The closer to reality, the more accurate the plan. Everything can be edited later, and you see the effect before confirming.
What happens when I pay off a debt?
The app updates the plan and shows the new forecast. The paid-off debt is recorded in your progress. When the last one is gone, the completed plan is saved, and a new one starts from scratch if you ever need it.
Do I have to do a check-in every week?
You choose: weekly or monthly, on the day you prefer. It is quick, and if nothing changed, just say so.
Your data
Do I need to connect my bank account?
No. You type in whatever you want to share. No bank password, no connection to your account.
Is it safe to put my debts in an app?
You provide only what the plan needs: no bank password, no CPF and no documents. The app can require your fingerprint or face to open, shows your connected devices and lets you delete your account. The details are on the Security page.
What data do you keep?
For your account: name, email, password and date of birth, plus your phone number if you want. For your plan: income, expenses, balance, emergency fund, the debts you registered and what you log in your check-ins. Some questions touch on health: they are optional and serve only to order the priorities of your plan. We also measure how the app is used, and you can object to that measurement. We do not ask for your CPF, bank details or documents. The full list, with the legal basis for each use, is in the Privacy Policy.
Do you sell or share my data?
We do not sell or rent your data. It serves your plan and the technical providers listed in the Privacy Policy, which also states what each one does.
Is my data used to train any model?
PlanoQuita does not use your data to train models. To write the explanations of your plan, part of your numbers goes to a contracted provider, without your name and without your email. The Privacy Policy states who this provider is and what it receives.
Your account
Can I sign in with Google or Apple?
Yes. You create your account with email and password or with your Google or Apple account. If you signed in with Google or Apple, you can create a password later, in the Security area of your Profile.
Can I choose which notifications I get?
Yes. In your Profile, you turn each type of notification on or off, on your phone or by email. Reminders on the lock screen never show an amount, and the debt鈥檚 name only shows if you want it to.
How do I delete my account?
In the app itself, under Profile, in the Delete account option. Deletion is permanent: your debts, plan and history are erased. The little that is kept afterward, and why, is described in the Privacy Policy.
