Pre-seed

People who owe money have little technology on their side.

PlanoQuita is a Brazilian debt payoff app built from the side of the person who owes. It organizes everything the person owes, explains the situation in words, recommends a path with the reason behind it and follows through month by month. None of its revenue comes from creditors.

Thesis

Most debt technology works for the other side.

Credit, collections and settlements make money when the person borrows more or when the creditor gets paid. Tools to understand and plan exist, but they tend to be one-off, generic or limited to the debts that show up on a credit report. PlanoQuita does not make money from credit or from creditors: it makes money when the person sees value in following their own plan. It is an alignment that credit and collection models lack, and it is what sustains trust and retention in the product.

  • Credit and refinancing

Makes money when the person borrows more.

  • Collections and settlements

Makes money when the creditor gets paid.

  • Calculators and spreadsheets

Do the math once and do not follow through.

  • Budgeting apps

Show the numbers, but usually do not say where to start.

Audience

Who the product was built for.

People starting to get organized

Several debts, some overdue, and the feeling that every choice is wrong. They need clarity and a first step they can take.

People who pay, but at the limit

They keep almost everything current, but the month does not add up. They want to keep the situation from getting worse.

People who want to compare paths

Already organized and wanting to decide better. They compare options and see the effect of each choice before changing the plan.

Product

A debt payoff app built from the side of the person who owes.

An app that turns scattered debts into a plan the person understands and can follow. High, persistent indebtedness meets a generation used to handling their finances on their phone. The person decides at every step.
